Calling krsh

I am writing a simple application that calls krshd on port 544.

I successfully get a TGT.

After opening a TCP connection with the server, I call KRB5_sendauth() but
receive the "Bad sendauth version was sent" error return value.  Looking at
tcpdump output, the correct sendauth version string seems to be sent (i.e.,
"KRB5_SENDAUTH_V1.0").  Any ideas as to what may be tripping up my
application?
